My story

My name is Maayan.
Pottery came into my life as a child and later took on a deeper meaning thanks to a special teacher who showed me how to connect to the material and to myself.
I felt that my feelings were reflected on the material - if I was calm, sad, nervous, happy.
And at the same time I felt that the material was affecting me in its quiet way.

When I think of the wheel I feel the rhythm. I feel calm and relaxed. I feel a new and special creation. And these are the meanings of the  Ceramics for me.

What motivates me in my creations is my everyday life. And from this I strive to design functional tools and it is important to me that they combine aesthetics, delicacy and calm
